The XSR Superboat has received further high profile press coverage with recent features in the marine enthusiasts' bible, Motor Boat & Yachting and men's lifestyle magazine, GQ.
Motor Boat & Yachting Editor, Hugo Andreae, was so impressed by his experience onboard that he decided to lead with the XSR on the front cover and described it as one of 'the most exciting, innovative and downright desirable boats' ever tested. Throughout the article, superlatives flowed for the XSR Superboat; "we stood and watched as the XSR danced around us in the winter sun; the hypnotic combination of power, poise and beauty"...."XSMG have focussed their efforts on producing a boat that is easy to drive, usable and a joy to own"...."high speed grand tourer...300-mile range at 50 knots and luxuries like a double berth, DVD player, wine cooler and a proper heads department"...."it isn’t just beautiful to behold but built to cope with the extreme loadings which a boat like this can generate"..." a magnificent and utterly beguiling boat".
Europe's Premier Motor Cruising Magazine also asked BBC presenter James May to recount his experience after the Top Gear shoot which saw the XSR Superboat pitted against a Ferrari Daytona on a 250 nautical mile challenge. Despite enduring some of the worst weather conditions seen in the Mediterranean, James would not swap the time he spent on board saying ‘The XSR experience is one I'm glad to have had ...because it proves that the boating world can serve up a sense of occasion equal to that provided by a supercar'.
GQ Columnist Celia Walden, who also writes for The Daily Telegraph and Glamour magazine, reviewed the XSR48 Superboat in the sunny climes of the Cote D'Azur. As well as experiencing the XSR first hand, Celia also took the opportunity to model a new line of designer swimwear on board resulting in over two pages of coverage.
